PPP PROJECT IN KAZAKHSTAN

Kazakhstan's construction of the West Europe-West China International Transit Corridor is almost finished, 50% of its section completed. 

Baris Chambers & Associates is actively involved in the legal structuring of one of the loans to Turkish construction companies and Kazakhstan has completed almost the half of the country's section. The rest to be finalised by the end of 2013.

Legal assistances covered the Kazakhstani part of the work, financed by international organisations, guaranteed by Kazakhstan through complexe and well structured borrowings. USD 2.125 billion financed by the World Bank, in which part Baris Chambers & Associates took part as legal counsel.

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the Islamic Development Bank and the Asian Development Bank also participated as financial supports.
